Canada Day Itinerary
12 noon – 4 pm - “PICNIC IN THE PARK”
Mariners Memorial Park, Prince Rupert, BC.
12 pm - Welcome to Canada’s Birthday Celebration!
Singing of O'Canada and raising the Canadian Flag.
Happy Birthday Canada speeches by representatives of: MP, MLA, Tsimshian, City of Prince Rupert, RCMP.
Canada flags & pins handed out.
12:30 pm - Enjoy the Huge Birthday Cakes
There will be food vendors onsite; including concession with cotton candy, sno cones and popcorn.
12 - 4pm - Multicultural Music and Dance Entertainment
12 - 4 pm - Activities All Day
Kids Egg Hunt – treats for answering questions about Canada.
Canada history quiz for teens and adults - test your Canadian knowledge.
Face painting, Maple Leaf tattoos, helium balloons and bubble blowing.
Giant Games to challenge your friends.
These are free activities, for your enjoyment.
1:30 pm - Prince Rupert Civic Recognition Awards
2 - 2:45 pm - Children’s games
Ribbons & treats for all participants.
Wheel barrow race / Leap frog.
Water balloon toss / Spoon & egg race.
3-Legged Race / Sack Race / Backwards Race / Paper Airplane Toss… and More!
3 pm - Canadiana Costume Walkabout
Sport your best red and white costume and show your Canadian Pride!
Costumed and leashed - only pets are welcome. Please clean up after your pet.
11:10 pm - Fireworks
Over Prince Rupert harbour (weather permitting).
