Celebrating 39 Years of Hallowe’en FestFor nearly four decades, Hallowe’en Fest has been a beloved Prince Rupert tradition, bringing generations of families together for a safe, fun and memorable Hallowe’en celebration. What began as a community-driven idea has grown into an annual event that many Prince Rupert families have come to consider an essential part of Hallowe’en. Hallowe’en Fest was created by the Prince Rupert Hallowe’en Fest Society, whose dedicated board members and volunteers built the event from the ground up. Through countless volunteer hours, community partnerships and years of commitment, the Society established the traditions that have made Hallowe’en Fest so special. From costumes, games and activities to an evening spent celebrating together as a community, the event has provided a place for Prince Rupert children and families to make Hallowe’en memories year after year. In 2026, as Hallowe’en Fest entered its 39th year, the event began a new chapter. With several board members serving both the Prince Rupert Hallowe’en Fest Society and the Prince Rupert Special Events Society, and with a desire to provide additional organizational support for the festival, Hallowe’en Fest was welcomed into the Prince Rupert Special Events Society's portfolio of community events. While the organization behind the event may be entering a new chapter, the heart of Hallowe’en Fest remains the same. Our goal is not to reinvent a tradition that has been loved by this community for nearly 40 years, but to protect it, celebrate it and carry it forward. We are committed to maintaining the traditions established by the Hallowe’en Fest Society while ensuring the event has the support it needs to continue for future generations. We are incredibly grateful to the original organizers, past and present board members, volunteers, sponsors, community organizations and local businesses who have contributed to Hallowe’en Fest throughout its history. Thirty-nine years of community tradition does not happen by accident—it is the result of people who believed in creating something special for Prince Rupert and continued showing up year after year to make it happen. As we look toward the 40th Annual Hallowe’en Fest in 2027, we are proud to carry that legacy forward. We hope to continue making the original organizers proud while giving a new generation of Prince Rupert children the opportunity to grow up with the same Hallowe’en tradition that so many before them have known and loved.
